How to care for my pavers over the winter?
To avoid damage to your pavers during the winter months, do not use an ice pick to clear ice and use calcium chloride salt, not rock salt. Over time, rock salt can deteriorate the integrity of the pavers and corrode your construction materials. Leaving snow on your pavers will not cause damage. When removing snow use a non-metal shovel for heavy snow and a leaf blower for lighter coverings of snow.
