How long does it take until I see results?

Results in your lawn treatment program(s) do vary. There are many outside factors that contribute to how soon you will see results. Often times, people can see results in a few weeks upto to one year. The key with getting and keeping the results you want is consistency. If a program(s) were to stop, the you are essentially restarting the clock on the timeline of the benefits associated with lawn treatments.

How important is mowing paired with lawn applications?

Lawn mowing is an key piece is getting and keeping the results for your lawn. Weekly maintenance will deter insects, disease, and bacteria from being attracted to the lawn. The better maintained your lawn is, the less appealing your grass is to pests.

Should I get my soil tested?

Soil testing is the process of taking a sample from of soil from your lawn and sending it to a lab to get tested. The lab tests for pH and various nutrients. Soil testing is not required, but strongly recommended to gain a clear understanding of what your lawn may be lacking. What is the best time of year to plant grass seed?

For cool season grass, grass we have in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, seed is best planted in the Spring or Fall. Reason being is the cooler temperatures and increase in rainfall allows the seed a greater chance of germinating due to less stress being put on the seed. Typically, grass seed will germinate in approx. 3 weeks from application.

What types of grass grow in New Jersey & Pennsylvania?

In NJ and PA, there is cool season grass. Cool season grass consists of the following:

Are the products used in the lawn treatments harmful to humans and pets?

The active agents in the products used for the different lawn application programs do contain pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. Depending on the type of pest or disease we are trying to treat, the active agent ranges in potency.If directions are not followed by either the homeowner or applicator, there could be a risk associated with the products.

It is common practice to wait until the application has dried, to safely enter the area. Drying times do vary depending on temperatures, time of day, humidity, etc. If directions from the label are followed, the risk is heavily reduced if not eliminated in total.

Golden Wolf Landscape & Design does notify their clients prior to an application taking place. Also, it is mandatory by law that there are lawn markers (flags) installed at the common entries of the property to show a treatment has been applied.
